The photographers at Iburi Photography described this love story the best: “Just two kids, dusty boots, and a Dude Ranch. Fate would bring these kids back together again full circle, trading in dusty boots for a wedding dress and tux. Montana and Brien’s story started years ago on Montana’s family Dude Ranch. Brien’s family vacationed yearly on the ranch, leaving the city for some fresh country air. After growing up miles away from one another, Montana and Brien found themselves meeting once again and making her 12-year-old crush come true. In 2020, they took the leap and began a long distance relationship that would soon end with Montana moving to Dallas and calling it home. Three strong years together ended with Brien on one knee in snowy Ellicottville, New York. One year of planning later, surrounded by family and friends, Brien and Montana would say “I Do” at the Hickory Street Annex in Dallas.”

“After getting engaged we knew the first thing to check off the list for the wedding was the venue. Obviously Dallas has venues of all shapes and sizes with different quirks unique to each place. After looking at countless photos we narrowed it down to a few places. None of them felt quite right but before we even left the parking lot of Hickory Street Annex, we knew it was the place. I would describe it as industrial elegance. Coming from families with a rural background, the fancy house on a hill isn’t really in our blood. The size of the venue and amenities for the bride, groom, and guests alike. We were able to get really unique photos on our wedding day that received endless compliments and led to many questions about the venue itself. Outside of the industrial elegance, expansive windows providing downtown Dallas sunset views, and the dance floor to last all night, the single most unique and talked about aspect of our wedding was the elevator reveal. Beyond memorable for all of those in attendance.”
